The characteristics of extended or long term duration of a given (mainly contract based) legal relationship under civilian law allows the applicability of particular legal provisions. Nevertheless, the content of this kind of relationship is not determined by the Hungarian legislator. Accordingly, the study, starting from the theoretical findings of the early 1900s’ Hungarian private law literature, aims at examining comprehensively the question of long-term relationships along the established judicial practice on the topic.
