Abstract

The Romanian media landscape has registered a series of changes, in line with the evolution of the European legal framework as well as in response to current challenges in providing digital services. The present paper examines the evolution in the legal framework registered by the process of removing or blocking of illegal online content as a key element in countering online disinformation (including here also the phenomena of fake news and deepfake).
